Since its inception in 2014, mHub Malawi has established itself as a leading innovator in the development and deployment of election monitoring technology systems across various countries such as Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Lesotho and Sierra Leone.

Leveraging an impressive pool of cutting-edge expertise in technology system development and a wealth of experience, mHub has created comprehensive and adaptable technology solutions that ensure the integrity and transparency of electoral processes.

These systems are meticulously designed to address the distinct phases of election monitoring, such as pre-election, during the election, and post-election phases. These technologies have catered to the unique needs of different stakeholders including election officials, international observers, monitors, civil society organizations, political parties and the general public.

mHub’s technologies facilitate comprehensive oversight and participation at every stage of the election cycle. Our solutions have enhanced voter registration, streamlined real time reporting and ensured accurate result verification. This empowers stakeholders to efficiently track electoral activities, identify and address irregularities, and foster an environment of trust and accountability throughout the entire electoral cycle.

Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace (CCJP) is one of the significant stakeholders in matters pertaining to governance and elections in Malawi. Due to its preeminent position within the community of faith-based organizations as well as within the larger fields of human rights and governance, it is one of the most important stakeholders in Malawi's electoral process.

CCJP is also a participant in the National Elections Consultative Forum (NECOF), in addition to playing an important role in the National Taskforce on the Reform of Electoral Law. At continental level CCJP is a member of African Elections Network (AfEONet) and at a regional level CCJP is a member of SADC Election Support Network (SADC ESN). The CCJP has a wealth of experience in both including underrepresented groups and monitoring election processes. Additionally, the Catholic CCJP has a wealth of experience in establishing and putting into action a Parallel Voter Tally (PVT) Centre as well as the Election Situation Room (ESR) for election observation.

In addition, the Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace (CCJP) has experience in the field of transformative civic education. With the help of this instrument, the CCJP was able to implement a ground-breaking intervention in the inclusion of marginalized groups and enhance the participation of disadvantaged persons.

Since the establishment of ECM in 1970, CCJP has maintained a presence in Malawi. As a result, it has gained an understanding of the social political, social economic, and social legal aspects of Malawi, which enables it to carry out a diverse array of governance and human rights projects to an exceptionally high standard. Additionally, CCJP takes the side of the most defenseless members of society. Since it was registered, it has helped marginalized communities become more included, including older persons, victims of human trafficking, people with disabilities and people suffering from mental impairment.

The Gender and Justice Unit (GJU) is a non-governmental organization established in 2017. The organization was founded by Sarai Chisala-Tempelhoff. GJU is registered under the Companies Act (Cap 46:03) of the Laws of Malawi as a company limited by guarantee. GJU emphasizes legal empowerment as one of the most powerful catalysts of gender equality and social justice. The GJU utilizes the law as a tool for gender equality and access to justice through; Legal empowerment and advocacy, Strategic partnerships and collaboration, Community engagement and empowerment, Legal research and innovation, Institutional development and sustainability. The organization's mission is to implement high-quality feminist programs that advance social justice and gender equality in Malawi. Its vision is to see a Malawi with citizens who are empowered and engaged, embracing social justice and gender equality.

Over the years the Unit, has implemented the following activities in relation to the election process; Legal empowerment session using legal clinics targeting female candidates after the previous election period in the 50-50 campaign project. ICT Training for women parliamentarians: Despite being affected by the COVID pandemic, the GJU set out to build the capacity of women legislators and council representatives through training and mentoring. Our focus was on areas that are critical for their active and meaningful contribution to decision-making processes at both local and national levels on gender-related laws, ICT, social media, revenue mobilization, and financial management. Nurturing young leaders through young women's feminist leadership course. The GJU developed a program designed to cultivate a cadre of politically savvy young women who will be active participants in the shaping of the national development agenda and ensure that women have the opportunity to continue participating in politics. Supporting women legislators in COVID-19 initiatives. For example, GJU supported 45 women parliamentarians and 24 councillors and parliamentarians during the COVID-19 pandemic by providing legal empowerment training and resources on the pandemic. In addition, we donated resources for handwashing and disinfection stations that were used at the events held during this time.

The Public Affairs Committee (PAC) is a quasi-religious body with 5 mother bodies namely; Malawi Council of Churches, Episcopal Conference of Malawi, Evangelical Association of Malawi, Muslim Association of Malawi and Qadria Muslim Association of Malawi. PAC is accredited to African Union ECOSOCC, serve as inside mediator on dialogue facilitation, and is registered under the Trustee Incorporation Act.

Formed in 1992 during the Malawi’s political transition from one party to multiparty system of government, PAC remains a key civil society organization in the field of political governance, electoral process, peace and security , human rights which contribute to the enhancement of social cohesion . PAC commands respect and remains the voice of the voiceless.
